Same Sex Marriage in Washington D.C.

Washington, District of Columbia USA - Members of the Washington, D.C. gay and lesbian community came to the H. Carl Moultrie I Courthouse in the District to apply for marriage licenses on the first day of their availability. The following week, couples who were among the first to apply for marriage licenses on the first day marriage equality became legal in the District of Columbia were legally married at The Human Rights Campaign headquarters
